Export from Iran

What is and is not possible when Iranian producers look for buyers abroad: sanctions screening, export readiness, truthful origin documents and buyer due diligence.

Read this first: sanctions, screening and what we will not do

Sanctions regimes imposed by the United Nations, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Canada, together with UAE law and the rules of each destination country, restrict many Iranian-origin goods, parties, banks and payment routes. Every enquiry we receive is screened, and many goods, parties and destinations cannot be served. GOLDVESTRA does not help anyone evade sanctions, disguise the origin of goods or route a transaction to avoid controls. This page is general information, not legal advice; take your own legal advice before any export.

What this page is, and what it is not

This page is written for producers and exporters in Iran, and for companies that handle Iranian-origin goods, who want to know whether GOLDVESTRA can help them reach buyers abroad. The honest answer is that it depends on the product, the buyer, the destination and the payment route, and that for a large share of enquiries the answer will be that the work cannot be done. We would rather tell you that during the first assessment than after you have spent money on samples, certification and shipping.

Some sanctions regimes contain carve-outs or licensing routes for particular categories, for example certain food, agricultural or medical items. Whether any of them applies is a legal question that turns on the exact goods, the parties, the banks and the jurisdictions involved. Where an export is permitted, our role is to help you become export-ready and to coordinate the commercial and documentary side. We are never a workaround.

How we screen every enquiry

Nothing is quoted, no buyer is approached and no logistics are arranged until screening is complete.

Goods

We classify the product (HS code) and check it against the sanctions, export-control and dual-use lists that apply to the origin and the destination.

Parties

Producer, buyer, banks, carriers and any intermediaries are checked against sanctions lists, including ownership and control links.

Destination

Some destinations and their banks will not handle Iranian-origin trade, and others have specific import conditions. We check the destination’s own rules before discussing any buyers.

Payment route

A deal that cannot be settled through a lawful, traceable banking channel is not a deal we can coordinate.

Documents

Origin, ownership and routing documents must be truthful and consistent with each other. We never assist with altered, backdated or misleading declarations.

Outcome

You receive a written result: proceed, proceed with stated conditions, or decline, with the reason where we are able to give it.

Where an export is permitted: what we can help with

Once an enquiry has cleared screening, the practical work is the same as for any serious exporter.

  • Export-readiness review: product specifications, test reports, shelf life and batch traceability
  • Packaging and labeling aligned with the destination market’s rules, with country of origin stated truthfully
  • Certificates of origin and supporting documents that show the true origin, prepared accurately
  • Commercial documentation: proforma and commercial invoices, packing lists and product specifications
  • Buyer due diligence: company registration, ownership, trading history, references and sanctions screening
  • Incoterms and contract-term review, with payment structures that are lawful for every party involved
  • Quality planning: sampling, pre-shipment inspection and claims procedures
  • Logistics coordination through licensed partners, only after screening is cleared

Export readiness: what serious buyers expect

Whatever the market, a professional buyer evaluating a new supplier asks the same questions: can you make the same product every time, can you prove it, and can you deliver on the date you quote. Producers who answer with documents rather than assurances win meetings that others do not. Our trade documentation service helps assemble that file in the form buyers and customs authorities recognize.

Readiness also means realistic lead times and minimum order quantities, because buyers compare you with suppliers who already ship to them regularly.

At a glance

  • A current product datasheet and specification
  • Test reports and certificates you genuinely hold, not ones you hope to obtain
  • Batch records that allow traceability
  • Realistic minimum order quantity, capacity and lead time
  • Standard packaging units and export-grade cartons or pallets
  • Registration documents for your company and any export registration required locally
  • Samples available on request, with a clear sample policy

Origin must always be stated truthfully

Country of origin is determined by rules, not by preference: goods are either wholly obtained in a country or have undergone enough processing there to qualify, and customs authorities apply those rules in the destination market. A certificate of origin records where goods were made; it does not change it. We will never help re-label goods, issue documents that show another origin, or arrange transshipment designed to hide where the goods came from.

Misstated origin exposes the producer, the buyer, their banks and the carriers to serious legal consequences, and inconsistencies between origin, ownership and routing are the first thing a compliance team looks for. If your product can be exported lawfully, a truthful document pack is also your strongest commercial asset.

How an enquiry is handled

The standard five stages apply, with screening at the center of the second.

Submit Requirements

Send the product, HS code if known, producer details, the markets you have in mind and whether you already have a buyer, through the request a quote form.

Sourcing Assessment

We screen goods, parties, destination and payment route, and tell you in writing whether we can proceed.

Commercial Proposal

Only for cleared enquiries: the scope, conditions and fee basis for the work we can lawfully coordinate.

Trade Coordination

Export-readiness work, buyer due diligence, truthful documentation and logistics through licensed partners.

Delivery & Settlement

Delivery follow-up and settlement coordination, using lawful channels only.

Destination markets: a note of caution

Market-specific requirements are covered on our pages for exporting to the UAE, Oman, Europe and Canada. Reading about a destination does not mean Iranian-origin trade with it is permitted. Europe and Canada apply their own sanctions measures to Iranian-origin goods and parties, the UAE applies federal law and screens parties and banks, and every destination has its own import conditions. Each case is decided on its facts, and for many of them the answer will be no.

Export from Iran: frequently asked questions

Can GOLDVESTRA export any Iranian product for me?

No. Many goods, parties and destinations cannot be served because of sanctions and export-control rules. We assess each enquiry individually and decline anything that cannot be done lawfully.

Will you route goods through another country so the origin is not visible?

No. We do not help anyone disguise the origin of goods, evade sanctions or structure a transaction to avoid controls. Documents we work on must state the true origin.

What happens when I submit an enquiry?

It is screened first: the goods, the parties, the destination and the payment route. We then send a written result, which is either a proposal for the work we can lawfully coordinate or a clear decline.

Can you guarantee a buyer or payment?

No. Even for a cleared enquiry, we can only identify and qualify potential buyers and coordinate the process. Orders, prices and payment depend on the parties and on what banks will accept.

What information will you need from me?

Product details, producer registration and ownership information, the intended destination and, if you have one, the buyer’s details. Screening requires beneficial-ownership information, so expect to be asked for it.
